Accessibility
This site aims to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 at level AA.
What we have done
- Text and controls meet the AA contrast requirements in both light and dark colour schemes, and the site follows your device's choice of scheme.
- Everything can be reached and used with a keyboard, with a visible focus indicator, and there is a link to skip straight to the main content.
- Pages have a single main heading, a logical heading structure and labelled navigation regions.
- Text can be enlarged to 200% and pages reflow to a single column on narrow screens without horizontal scrolling.
- The typefaces were chosen for legibility: Atkinson Hyperlegible Next, designed by the Braille Institute, and Literata, designed for long-form reading on screens. Both are served from this site.
Known limitations
- Many of the articles were written between 1999 and 2014. Some of their figures are images of charts or screens whose descriptions are shorter than they should be.
- Some older downloads (PDFs and recorded webinars) were produced before current accessibility practice and may not be tagged or captioned.
